Notices of administrative, civil and criminal forfeiture actions have traditionally been published in newspapers. Publication of forfeiture notices are now permitted on a government internet site under 28 CFR Part 8.9, Rule G of the Supplemental Rules for Admiralty or Maritime Claims and Asset Forfeiture Actions (part of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure), and/or Rule 32.2(b)(6) of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure.

This website is managed by the Department of Justice, Asset Forfeiture Management Staff and contains a comprehensive list of pending forfeiture notices for all of the federal agencies shown below.

This website also features information on how to file a claim and/or a petition for the purpose of recovering property. This information, along with links to the online claim and petition forms, can be found by clicking "Claims" or "Petitions" above.

Please note that Title 18, United States Code, Section 983(h)(1), permits a court to impose a civil fine on anyone asserting an interest in property which the court determines was frivolous.
